- Reading and journal data: cards drawn, reading notes, journal entries, mood tags, and session history.
- Messages: communications between seekers and readers conducted through the Arcana platform.
- Usage data: collected automatically through analytics, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on site, and referring website.
- Contact information: name, email, and any information you provide when contacting us directly.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and provide the Arcana platform services.
- To facilitate bookings, readings, and communications between seekers and readers.
- To process payments, issue payouts to readers, and maintain wallet balances.
- To display reader profiles and reviews to seekers browsing the platform.
- To send transactional communications such as booking confirmations, reminders, and payout notifications.
- To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
- To understand how users interact with the platform and improve its features and usability.

Your Reading Journal and Session Data
Your reading journal entries, card draw history, mood tracking, and session notes are private by default. This data is never shared with other users, sold to third parties, or used for advertising. Readers can see session notes they create about their own clients, but cannot access your personal journal entries.
Email Communications
We send transactional emails related to your account activity (booking confirmations, reminders, payout notifications). We may also send occasional product updates or announcements. You can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time using the link included in every email. We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Arcana platform:
- Stripe: Payment processing for wallet funding, reading payments, and reader payouts. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
- Google Analytics: Anonymized website usage analytics. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
This site uses cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in), analytics (understanding site usage), and user preferences (such as your selected card back design). If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes. Reading journal entries and session history are permanently deleted when you delete your account.

This includes HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure password hashing, and strict access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Arcana is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
